SimpliFiber Hardware Warranty

This Warranty Policy outlines the warranty coverage for hardware provided by SimpliFiber LLC, located at 748 W Heritage Park Blvd #201, Layton, Utah 84041, United States ("SimpliFiber"), in connection with SimpliFiber Internet, Phone, and common area Wi-Fi services (collectively, the "Services"). This policy is incorporated into the SimpliFiber Residential Terms of Service and applies to all users of the Services. SimpliFiber reserves the right to update this Warranty Policy, with changes taking effect no sooner than fourteen (14) days after posting on getsimplifiber.com, except for changes required by law or new Service features, which may take effect immediately.

Warranty Coverage

SimpliFiber warrants all SimpliFiber-owned hardware provided to you for use with the Services, including but not limited to routers, switches, modems, phone boxes, and related accessories (collectively, "Covered Hardware"), against defects in materials and workmanship for the duration of your active Service period, subject to the conditions outlined below. Unless explicitly stated otherwise on getsimplifiber.com, SimpliFiber owns all hardware provided in connection with the Services.

  • Duration: The warranty is valid for as long as you maintain an active Service plan with SimpliFiber and the Covered Hardware remains in use for the Services.
  • Coverage: SimpliFiber will repair or replace, at its discretion, any Covered Hardware found to be defective due to normal use during the warranty period, at no cost to you, provided the defect is not caused by damage as described below.

Exclusions from Warranty

The warranty does not cover:

  • Customer-Caused Damage: Any damage to Covered Hardware caused by you or others, including but not limited to physical damage, liquid damage, misuse, neglect, improper storage, or use of the hardware for purposes other than its intended use with the Services.
  • Unauthorized Modifications: Defects or damage resulting from unauthorized repairs, modifications, or tampering with the Covered Hardware.
  • External Causes: Damage caused by external factors, such as power surges, lightning, fire, floods, or other events beyond SimpliFiber’s control.
  • Purchased Equipment: Any equipment purchased by you, as opposed to SimpliFiber-owned hardware, is not covered by this warranty. The Fiber Jack and inside wiring are also excluded, as noted in the SimpliFiber Residential Terms of Service.

If Covered Hardware is damaged due to any of the above exclusions, you may be charged a replacement fee as outlined in the SimpliFiber Fee Schedule.

Warranty Claim Process

To make a warranty claim for defective Covered Hardware:

  • Contact SimpliFiber customer support at support@getsimplifiber.com or (855)-566-6700 to report the issue and initiate a claim.
  • Provide details about the defect, including any relevant information about the hardware’s condition and usage.
  • SimpliFiber may request the return of the defective hardware for inspection. You are responsible for returning the hardware as instructed, in accordance with the SimpliFiber Residential Terms of Service.
  • Upon verification of the defect, SimpliFiber will, at its discretion, repair or replace the Covered Hardware at no cost to you. If the issue is not covered by this warranty, SimpliFiber will inform you of any applicable replacement fees.

Return of Hardware Upon Service Termination

As outlined in the SimpliFiber Residential Terms of Service, you must return all SimpliFiber-owned hardware (except purchased equipment, Fiber Jack, or inside wiring) in working condition within sixty (60) days of Service termination. Failure to return Covered Hardware or returning it in a damaged condition may result in replacement fees, as detailed in the SimpliFiber Fee Schedule, regardless of warranty status.

Limitation of Warranty

This warranty is provided in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. SimpliFiber’s liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective Covered Hardware. SimpliFiber is not liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages arising from the use or failure of the Covered Hardware, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of service, or other economic loss.
